ELEBCIS Project Objectives
The overall objective of the ELEBCIS Project is to understand the opportunities that exist, and the barriers that young people seeking to enter the labour market in the Creative and Digital Industries in Bristol face. This is in order to enhance our understanding of the specific context for entry-level employment within the Bristol City-region and to explore how barriers may be addressed to enable increased progression into roles in these sectors for young people from all areas of the city, including those in which youth unemployment is a particular challenge.
This report should help to highlight conditions which may support improved access to labour market opportunities for young people seeking entry level employment in the Creative and Digital Industries Sectors in Bristol. The findings of the project may also inform understanding of the barriers faced by young people seeking employment in these sectors in other contexts.
The report will be used by Bristol City Council (BCC) to consider future planning and decision-making related to skills training provision for these sectors in the city in the future.
